Skip Barber Racing schools teach you the skills on how to race successfully. They have some great classes for people that are curious about how it would feel to drive fast (and well) around the corkscrew course at Laguna Seca. Prices vary from $699.00-3,999.00 depending if you want 1 - 3 day classes. You must have a valid drivers license and be able to use a manual transmission and be over 18.

Description:
Skydive Monterey Bay is one of the most popular and professional skydiving centers in the world and is fast becoming a vacation destination for many experienced skydivers! This is a great place to start for someone who has never "dived" before. A USPA certified tandem master trains and jumps with a first time jumper after a fifteen to twenty minute class. The tandem skydive is the easiest way to introduce anyone to the wonderful sport of skydiving.
A Tandem jump from 18,000 (90 sec) feet is $259, !5,000 (70 sec) $199, 10,000 (30 sec) is $159
The student is attached to the tandem master via a harness, while the tandem master wears the parachute. Both student and instructor exit the aircraft over two miles above the ground. You will enjoy 70-90 seconds of freefall while overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay and Salinas Valley, then the instructor assists the student with practicing rip cord pulls and freefall turns. Next, at the proper altitude, the student may open the parachute. Together, the pair then steer and land the parachute back on the airport. Note: Skydiving is considered a "risky sport". Exit Hwy 1 at the first Sand City exit, for Del Monte and Fremont Blvds. Go straight through the first light, following Fremont Blvd., and turn right onto Del Monte Blvd. Follow Del Monte Blvd to Tioga Ave, the second light, and go right. Cross the railroad tracks and go left onto California Ave at the 4-way stop-sign (be sure to stop, as this is a popular spot for the Sand City police). Follow California Ave around a right turn, and turn right onto East Ave. We're on the right side, halfway up the block, just look for our logo on the building.

Okay, so an indoor rock climbing wall may not be "too extreme" but it is a great way to get your feet wet (for those more serious climbers, there is great rock climbing available at Pinnacles National Monument). rock climbing is an exhilarating full-body workout that combines balance, strength, grace & power with challenge and fun. Climbing is one of those rare sports that can be enjoyed by all ages & is ideal for the whole family. For first time visitors, you will be given instruction and the rules. Eye and ear protection must be worn (they are sold there along with targets) and kids 18 or under must be accompanied by a guardian. Fee of: 1st hr $10 a person after that $2 every 15 minutes. There are separate rifle and pistol ranges both of which are covered. Target ranges go from 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 feet. Restrictions: No full autos, no holsters, and no rapid fire.

Although seeing it as your standing on the beach or driving down to Big Sur in your car is great, it cannot compare to the birds eye view offered by this company. And the price is not as prohibitive as you would think with tours starting $199 - $650 (for 2 people) They even have 20 minute rides to get you up above to see the most spectacular full moons and sunsets.
