Description:
If you are looking to go to the movies but have more than the usual experience, check out this downtown, newly remodeled cinema palace. The Golden State Theatre is proud to be one of the few theatres in the country showing the classic (and not-so-classic)
films as they were intended to be seen...on a big screen in a grand movie palace. Owner Warren Dewey has upgraded the
projection system to perfectly show these classic films, many of which are archival prints, in their intended ratio with the
proper amount of light on a brand-new 40-foot screen.
Every effort is made to ensure a memorable movie-going experience with cartoons, The Mighty Wurlitzer and occasional
special guests.
Some of their recent and upcoming films include Gone With The Wind, Some Like It Hot, Citizen Kane, L.A. Confidential, Viva Las Vegas and The Matrix.
